Summary Replica watches are built by factories, not by the dealers who sell them, so the factory is what determines movement accuracy, case finishing and QC consistency. This page ranks factories on a published six-criterion rubric (movement 25%, case and finishing 20%, QC consistency 20%, catalog depth 15%, community record 10%, value 10%). Scores are only issued where at least two independent, dated sources agree; the current #1 for Rolex sports models, RICH, holds 310 of 340 points in the RWI 2026 Submariner comparison — ahead of the genuine reference at 304 and VSF at 302. Factories without that evidence base are listed as unrated rather than given a marketing number. Rankings are refreshed monthly.

How we score

CriterionWeightWhat we check
Movement25%Clone architecture vs. the genuine caliber (e.g. 3235, 3285, 4130 families), whether it is free-sprung or regulated, serviceability, reported failure rates over 12+ months
Case & finishing20%Case geometry, lug and crown-guard symmetry, brushing and polishing transitions, rehaut engraving, dimensions and weight against the genuine reference
QC consistency20%Batch-to-batch variance: dial alignment, date-wheel centering, crystal distortion, bezel insert fit — taken from dated buyer reports, not catalogue copy
Catalog depth15%How many references the factory actually produces, how current they are against genuine releases, and whether niche sizes and dials exist
Community record10%Documented owner history across forums and reps communities, including documented failures and how the factory handled them
Value10%Price band against the factory's own tier — not against other tiers

Evidence policy: a factory receives a score only when at least two independent, dated sources agree (published side-by-side comparisons, dated owner threads, or first-hand teardown). Single-source or undated claims are recorded but do not move a score. Each profile carries a confidence label, and we publish what each factory does badly — a ranking without weaknesses is advertising.

Ties are broken by QC consistency, because a factory that sometimes gets it right is not equal to one that always does. Where supply is disrupted (factory shutdowns, channel clear-outs) we say so rather than quietly dropping the entry.

Scored comparison: Submariner 126610 (third-party, RWI 2026)

The only public comparison that scores factories section by section on the same reference is the RWI 2026 Submariner review: six factories plus a genuine 126610LN, judged by one lead reviewer and four independent team members. This is a third-party source, not our measurement, and we report its final table as published.

Read the last row with the price column in mind: the genuine reference loses points on price by design, so the 310 vs 304 gap is narrower than it looks. On appearance alone, the four team reviewers put the genuine reference first in every ballot, with RICH second or third. The same reviewers named RICH's clasp tolerances as too tight — a real, repeatable complaint rather than a preference.

Unrated but tracked (evidence base not yet sufficient for a section-by-section score): 3KF, A7F, APS, BTF, BVF, GMF, Noob, PPF, RWF, THB, TOPF, U1. Presence in this list means we follow the factory, not that we endorse it.

What changes a score

Scores move when dated evidence appears: a new reference that closes a known gap, a batch defect that reaches multiple owners, a factory shutdown or rename, or a priced teardown showing a substituted component. Rumours without dates are logged in the notes and left out of the table. If a factory stops supplying a category, we mark the entry as disrupted instead of deleting it, so the record stays readable over time.

Disclosure. Clone Watch Report publishes editorial analysis and does not sell watches. Our operator also runs a store that sells watches from one of the factories covered here, including RICH; links to that store are marked, and any commercial relationship is limited to that one factory. No factory reviewed on this page has paid for a score, supplied a score, or been shown a draft before publication.
